Age 31 Occupation: Production Manager for a Motorcycle Accessory Importer What is your greatest 'adventure' (or extreme sports) achievement? Why? Rafting the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, one of the best experiences of my life. Rafting along a river that is over a mile deep is something that is hard to explain, you feel cut off from the rest of the world just you and the river. I really enjoyed the challenge and so happy I was able to experience it before I came home. Also, walking the narrows at Zion National Park is another great memory I have of my life in the States. What do you believe will be your strongest leg & why; trail run, mountain bike, 4WD, poker? I think it would be mountain biking, because I ride many hundreds of km's each week. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your current level of fitness? 8 Why did you enter the Men's Challenge? To see if I could come out on top. I am always up for a challenge (and a new car never hurt anyone!) If you were forced to give up all your gadgets bar one, what would it be and why? It would have to be my Garmin 705 cycle computer, it is the best thing I have every purchased. With the GPS I never get lost no matter how far I ride in the bush, it has been to many different countries with me and never let me down. What would you cook a woman to impress her on a first date? My mother is Italian, so any one of the fantastic dishes she has shown me over the years. I do a killer Steak Dianne, (or if she was a vegetarian I would make her my mushroom risotto - it's delicious if I do say so myself). What's the most fun you've had on four wheels? Driving the big 4wd tour bus off road to the Grand Canyon three times a week when I lived in Vegas was an amazing experience, the road zigged and zagged between the Joshua trees with only just enough room to fit the bus through it was a great fun to make it to the canyon edge with the mirror still attached!!! What are you thinking about when you've got your poker face on? What the other players are thinking. Who is your favourite superhero and why? Iron Man, what a suit! What does confidence mean to you? Being able to stand strong in an unknown situation and come out on top no matter how much pressure there is. Do you have any career aspirations? I'm currently in the final stage of becoming an aviation Firefighter, this is a career I have worked hard for and look forward to achieving. |
