Age: 22 Occupation: Student / Personal Trainer / Trackwork Rider (racehorses) What is your greatest 'adventure' (or extreme sports) achievement? Why? Making the Australian amateur Muay Thai team and competing in Korea for my country. It was a really rewarding experience and Muay Thai is great because it's just you and your opponent and no one else, and the consequences of losing can be really serious. What do you believe will be your strongest leg & why; trail run, mountain bike, 4WD, poker? Definitely the trail run. I do a lot of running and I go for runs up the Glasshouse Mountains a couple times a month so I'm used to trail running. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your current level of fitness? 9.5. Never can be 10, you can always get fitter. Why did you enter the Men's Challenge? I think I have the fitness to win and I desperately need a new car and as a uni student can't afford something as nice as an X Trail. If you were forced to give up all your gadgets bar one, what would it be and why? My phone because I use it to listen to music, call my friends and keep in touch with my beautiful girlfriend. What would you cook a woman to impress her on a first date? A herb and mustard crusted leg of roast lamb on a bed of wilted spinach with sweet potato mash with a glass of Margaret River shiraz to show I've made an effort. What's the most fun you've had on four wheels? I used to own a 4wd till the motor blew up, so I've had heaps of fun going off road with my friends and surfing trips up the beach. What are you thinking about when you've got your poker face on? Um? Lady Ga Ga when I have my Po Po Po poker face on. Who is your favourite superhero and why? Spider Man because he's normal out of his suit but changes when the times needs him. Bit like how I try to be with Muay Thai. Easy going and normal out of the ring but focused when it's fight day. What does confidence mean to you? Confidence to me is a reflection of how you feel about yourself on the inside. You can't fake it, you have it or you don't. Do you have any career aspirations? Definitely. When I finish university I hope to gain a job as a fitness coach with a professional sports team. I'm the fitness coach for the Maroochydore senior AFL team and really enjoy the work and the feeling when the team's winning and I helped make it happen. |
